Research and Development Tax Credit

If a company in Iowa increases its research activities, it may become eligible for a 6.5% credit on the company's allotted share of qualifying research expenditures. A company must meet the qualifications of the federal research activities credit in order to be eligible for the credit on the Iowa return.
